The basic history of the Diba is that some Alphas decided to leave in a Carrier, fleeing from the avenging might of the Republic. They stopped in Jibauni space, kidnapped a Jibauni Oracle, and left to build a robotic fleet to end up destroying the Navy.
The Jibauni were created around 1000 AD, 2000 years before the beginning of the game. Development was quick, and they created hyperdrives and hyperspace-capable ships about a thousand years ago. A few years after that, a strange pink ship came through a wormhole. Being given permission to land on the current Jibauni capital planet of Baitoon, it did. The next day, it was gone - and one of the Oracles with it. After that, a group of Jibauni broke away from the main bunch and started their own faction. They called normal Jibauni Lazies, because they hadn't protected the Oracle. However, the normal Jibauni just call them the Rebels.
