The script automatically creates over 1000 kanji flash cards in jpg and pdf format.
Kyōiku kanji (教育漢字, literally "education kanji"), also known as Gakunenbetsu kanji haitōhyō (学年別漢字配当表, literally "list of kanji by school year") is a list of 1,026 kanji and associated readings developed and maintained by the Japanese Ministry of Education that prescribes which kanji, and which readings of kanji, Japanese students should learn from first grade to the sixth grade (elementary school).

If you prefer Hiragana on your cards instead of romaji or want the text to have padding you can run the generator yourself. There is an option to enable padding and to convert the romaji readings to hiragana in the generator.
You can use any 900x1500 pixel jpg file for the background. To do so, just download the generator and replace the jpgs in the folder with your own.
You can download the generator from the latest release here.
There is no installation needed, just run generator.exe. It was packed using PyInstaller.
The cards are designed with 6/10 aspect ratio. This is pretty close to the tarot card format. There are numerous websites you can upload the cards to get them printed. This one has a nice interface (I dont know about their quality, i haven't ordered from them yet).
