Bugs Squashed:

  • Fixed chiselled chitin not being breakable
  • Fixed cuccoons taking damage when punched by changelings
  • Fixed changeling traps spawning floating slime layers/spamming slime noises

Additions:

  • Added the Staff of Remembrance
  • Changelings can now affect other entities with their attacks
  • Changelings can cuccoon players and entities by hitting them multiple times with their attack
  • Apples left on the ground too long will eventually turn rotten
  • Cuccoons will now heal their captive, and changelings can harvest health for themselves by right-clicking
  • Added Diamond Doors
  • You can now tie leads to stick blocks. It's not very strong, though, so don't expect it to stick. :D

  • Sticks and tomato plants are now separate blocks. You can place sticks anywhere! But you can only plant tomatoes on them when they're over farmland.

Bugs Squashed:

  • Fixed various broken crafting recipes
  • Fixed projectiles (thrown rotten tomatos) not rendering correctly
  • Reduced the minimum distance a shield will kill invading projectiles so the caster can fire back

Additions:

  • Added a crafting recipe for banisters
  • You can now craft cactus green from moss
  • Wheat worms now have a small chance of dropping when digging through dirt and similar blocks
  • Added thrown spells. Some spells can be thrown when you right-click with their gem! The projectile will carry their effects wherever it goes.
  • Some more secret additions

Mods

  • Added JEI support

Changelings

  • Added a new ability. Press (L) to shoot a nearby target with slime.
    They'll become slimy and stuck, but be careful you don't get caught in the splash zone!
    Or do get caught. Anyone hit by this attach will have their health filled and ripe for a changeling feast.
  • Added a unique flying sound for changelings. This will probably be changed later...
  • Added slime layers, similar to snow layers but they're slime
  • Added a smelting recipe to get chitinous shells from cuccoons
  • Added chiselled chitin blocks (pictured below)
  • Added full-size cuccoons (also below) (currently only obtainable in creative)

  • Fixed shield particles not rendering for players
  • Fixed shield costs. From now on the amount or energy a shield takes is directly proportional to the number of entities being repelled, and free if unchallenged.

Additions

  • Added the gem of siphoning

Siphoning and Pilon both do stuff with health!

Pilon will grant health to all entities in range, Siphoning will take health from all entities in range and give it to the caster when needed.

  • Fixed #3 Amulet causing a crash when baubles are not installed

Additions/Changes

  • Feathers and big sticks can be placed in flower pots. Be creative, I'm sure you can find some use for that!
  • Gems will now produce particles of the same colour to match their magical tint

  • Improved player motion when walking on clouds
  • Flattened cloud blocks (Back up your world! Old saves will be upgraded)

Flight

  • Rewrote the flight mechanics to be easier to control
  • Move forward using the forward key, back with the back key
  • Hold shift and jump to keep from descending whilst stationary
  • Flying in thunderstorms are now more dangerous. You'll be randomly buffeted by the wind.

Moss

  • Blocks placed close to cloud blocks will gradually start to grow moss. Harvest the moss with shears. They're an ingredient for gem crafting. ;)
  • Backported 1.13 feature: dispensers can shear sheep now.

Disguises

  • Disguised changelings are effectively invisible to mobs (unless you punch them. Don't do that.)
  • Changelings disguised as mobs that would normally burn in the daylight will burn in the daylight
  • Skeletons will raise their arms when the player tries to fire a bow

Dutch Doors

  • There are now Dutch Doors in the game. So far there are only two variants: Library (based loosely on the Treebrary door), and Bakery (Sugar Cube Corner).

What's so special about dutch doors, you ask? Well, they're dutch doors...

The Enchanting System

Enchanting gems is going to work completely differently from a regular crafting grid. It was already different in how you had to insert a gem into the center slot, but now the way ingredients are selected has changed!

From now on, rather than try to find the exact items you need for a recipe, you have to find items of the right kind. Several items in the game are categorised into different traits, and combining those (in some cases with previously-crafted gems) will produce different results.

Traits may change, and more may be added as time goes on. The spellbook is planned as a bit of a guide to discovering these, and an instruction booklet for any spells you do discover, but for now, the easiest gem you'd be able to find is the Awkward Gem crafted from any combination of flowers, saplings, or sticks. Those are all unaligned with no effects.
