  • Updated minimum Mine Little Pony versions to 7.4.7
  • Wing flaps will now trigger a sound event similar to other player actions
  • Revamped FOV effects
  • Bat ponies can now burn their eyes by looking directly at the sun
  • Added sun-related death messages
  • Added new death message variances for pegasi
  • Adjusted balancing for changeling's health drain ability

Spellcrafting

  • Items placed in the spellbook's crafting grid will now display their traits
  • Trait names, icons, and descriptions have a new obfuscation effect for undiscovered traits
  • Clicking on a trait in a recipe tree will now take you to the dex entry for that trait
  • Fixed certain recipes matching when they shouldn't

Alicorn Amulet

  • Revamped the alicorn amulet with all new effects
  • Strength and edurance, knockback, etc status effect will now gradually increase the longer you wear the amulet
  • The amulet now has a maximum duration you can wear it before it will start harming the player
  • Wearing the alicorn amulet now grants you the abilities on an alicorn: All race abilities and magic in addition to the abilities of your chosen race
  • Passive entities will now run away from players who have been wearing the alicorn amulet for longer than one minecraft day
  • All entities that wear the alicorn amulet can now have the same effects applied to them
  • The time worn for the alicorn amulet now includes hours and days
  • The alicorn amulet in its item entity form can no longer be destroyed by lava, fire, or cactus (A way to destroy it will be added in a later update. I'm not done yet!)
  • Most negative effects are disabled in creative mode
  • Added corruption
    • corruption slowly increases the longer you wear the amulet and will gradually decrease when not doing anything that increases your corruption
    • Certain actions like taking damage can also reduce your corruption more quickly
    • Corruption has a visual effect that drains the colour from your view

  • Added a variety of new pony-themed paintings and flags

Polearms

  • Adjusted polearm balancing #64
    • Reduced polearm damage to 2 from 3 and increased attack cooldown
    • Polearms now cause knockback when hitting an entity, and will knock the player back if they're too close to the target
    • Polearms are now effective for mining cobwebs

Earth Ponies

  • Added Zap Apple Trees
  • The preferred method for obtaining zap apples is to find a zap apple tree.
  • Zap Apple Trees have a small chance of spawning in the world, and will go through a cycle of growning leaves and bearing fruit every 2-3 full moons. Each cycle takes roughly 2 days to complete.
  • Zap Apple Trees are very sturdy and don't like to be mined. Beware, as trying to punch them might give you a zap!
  • Use polearms to mine zap apples from a safe distance
  • If you need help removing a zap apple tree, try asking an earth pony for help. They're buff.
  • Added fruit trees for the Granny Smith, Sweet, and Sour apples
    • Place and of the above apples in the crafting table to get seeds then plant the seeds on farmland and allow them to grow.
    • The tree will slowly bear fruit that you can either mind to obtain an apple, or Earth Ponies can kick the tree to dislodge all apples at once
  • Granny Smith, Sweet, and Sour apples can now be obtained in woodland mansion and village chests
  • Granny Smith, Sweet, Sour apples, and friendship bracelets are now available as villager trades
  • You can now craft wheat worms and sand together to get dirt
  • Added oats, oat plants, oatmeal, and fancy oats
  • Sending oats through the dragon breath scroll will transform it into fancy imported oats and grant and advancement to both the sender and receiver
  • Added recipes to obtain the hay fries, hay burger, and daffodile daisy sandwich using oats as bread
  • Added apple pies
    • They work similar to cakes. Place it down and right-click to eat a slice, or use shears to obtain the slice as an item
    • Please don't step on them
    • Crafting 4 apple pie slices together will give you a full apple pie
  • Added a rarity property to tree drops
  • Most trees will drop items less often, except fruit trees which will always drop all of their fruit

Bat Ponies

  • Bat ponies no longer drop feathers
  • Added sunglasses and broken sunglasses (credit @AtomicGlow for the idea and texture)
  • Spawn locations for bat ponies are now selected to avoid direct sunlight wherever possible, to protect their eyes

All flying races

  • Fixed model jankiness when flying as a pony
  • Ponies are no longer rotated when flying and humans will only rotate when moving horizontally
  • Added the dash ability. Bat ponies and pegasi can now dash forwards by quickly tapping their primary ability key.
    • Dashing through a window will break glass and grant you and advancement for being reckless (it might also hurt a little)
  • Added an ability to immediately start and stop flying
    • When sanding the ability will give you a minor boost to get into the air
    • When flying, you can use the ability to quickly lose altitude (dive) and then again to resume hovering
    • It may take multiple attempts and careful timing, but you can use it to get back into the air from the water
  • Added windflow and turbulance
    • The world now has an implicit wind direction determined by altitude and surrounding terrain. It's mostly unnoticeable to pegasi when the sky is clear, but when raining this can become a factor when trying to navigate
    • Certain blocks (sand, lava, water) have varying levels of updraft that will affect the rate of descent when flying over them
  • Added weather vanes
    • It's exactly what you think it is. The weather vane will rotate to show the direction of the wind where it's placed, mainly as a decoration block.

Pegasi

  • This fixes several aspects of the wind sound effect when flying (@FollowSlipstream )
    -Interpolation of FadeOutSoundInstance breaking the effect's volume controls
    -Attenuation and panning (3D audio) should now work correctly for other clients
    -New attenuation curve for velocity based attenuation
    -New pitch controls same as above
    -Made effect a continuous loop
    -Added rate limiter so that sudden movements won't cause volume and pitch jolts (storms?)
  • The rainboom ability's cost is now a flat 90 mana, rather than a 90% of your total regardless of level

Changelings

  • The love sickness effect is now part of the toxicity system
  • Added bottle of love, bucket of love, and mug of love
  • The crystal heart will now fill buckets, mugs, and bottles with love when dropped by a changeling nearby.
  • Changelings can now dispell magic (even though they can't cast their own, they might still mess with yours!)

Unicorns

  • Spell cost calculations now take into account your saturation
  • When taking energy for a cast, the order is like this: mana -> saturation -> hunger -> hearts
  • Hearts are only consumed when all the previous pools are empty, but it will no longer be able to kill the the player.

Magic Spells

  • Mimic Spell
    The Mimic spell allows unicorns to change their appearance to match another entity, similar to the changeling ability, but with some limitations.
    1. You can only mimic other entities
    2. The effect has a time limit, so you can't transform permanently.
  • Mind Swap Spell
    This is the next step up from the mimic spell. It allows unicorns to temporarily switch into the body of another entity. For the duration of the effect, the other entity's mind will have control of your body, so be careful how you use it! if one of you dies, the other will as well.
  • Hydrophobic Spell / Repel Water
    This spell acts a bit like a sponge, pushing water away from the user. You can use it to walk freely underwater, or add the generosity trait and cast the spell in a location to create an underwater base.

Foods

  • Added pinecones
  • Eating them grants and advancement and heals 1 heart
  • Added acorns
  • Kicking oak trees now produces a mix of acorns and sticks. Use fruit trees to get apples instead!
  • Kicking spruce trees will produce acorns and stick.

Configurations

  • Added a config value to disable the waterlogging fix for sea plants
  • Added a config to disable "cheats" (/race, /gravity, and /disguise are now disabled by default)
  • Config settings are now organised into groups and have comments to describe what each thing does. Backup your configs before loading this version, because old config files are not compatible!

Commands

  • Certain commands that were only added for debugging are no longer accessible

General

  • Added creative tabs for each of the different races to show items that fit into their quest-line
  • Removed the default race toggle from the world creation screen

Sodium

  • Fixed some rendering issues when using the mod with Sodium (might have broken rendering without sodium, I dunno)

Unicorns

Spellcrafting

  • Added botched gems
  • Crafting invalid combinations in the spellbook will now result in a botched gem
  • Undiscovered traits are now rendered with an obfuscated icon
  • Made spellbooks' hitbox slightly larger
  • Added trait combining recipe
  • Placing a spell in as the target and adding items around will add their traits to the spell
  • Added a recipe for duplicating spells using the botched gems

Spellbook Revamp

  • The spellbook now contains different tabs leading to chapters describing the spells you can craft as well as some articles of lore that are canon to the mod
  • Some pages are available immediately, like the introduction, and you can unlock additional pages and lore by levelling up your character
  • The "discoveries" page has been replaced with a new Trait Dex
  • The trait dex shows all the traits you have discovered so far and the items that can be used to obtain those traits
  • Added a profile tab that shows a summary of your character's level, mana, experience, and equipped spells
  • All lore chapters and pages are server-controlled, so you can add or change the pages available by using a datapack

Magic and Spellcasting

  • Increased the maximum level cap for all races
  • Available Mana now scales with your character's level
  • Using mana or crafting spells grants the player a little experience. When their experience bar is full they will go up one level
  • Placed spells now save the level of their caster when created so it can be used when the player is offline
  • Unicorns can now have more than one placed spell active of any given type
  • You now have to use the spell clearing ability to recall placed spells

Spell recalling

  • Revamped the spell dismissal screen
  • Placed spells are now positioned in the screen to reflect their actual location relative to the player

Traits

  • Spell traits are now sent by the server upon joining
  • Renamed the discord trait to the chaos trait

HUD

  • Spells with a time limit now display a progress timer on their HUD element
  • The number of spells of the same type is now displayed on their HUD element (if more than 1)
  • Made the XP progress bar more visible
  • Equipping a spell will no longer discard the previous spell. It should now swap places with the spell on the gem

Magic & Spells

  • Changes to Protection Spells
  • You can now add the generosity trait to make the protection spell placeable that creates a static shield around an area (see spellbook)
  • Adjusted the radius scaling of the shield spell to account for higher levels
  • The placed shield spell is able to cover a larger area than the on-person variant
  • Spellbooks are no longer affected by the protection spell
  • You can now control which groups of entities to allow through the shield spell using traits (see spellbook)
  • Added Chilling Breath Spells
  • Variant of the frost spell that allows you to use boats on lava. More uses may come later
  • Changes to the Attractive Spells
  • You can now add the focus trait to make the attractive spell work only on the entity you're looking at
  • Changes to Fire Spells
  • Fire spells will now explode when hitting entities in addition to blocks
  • Added Arcane Protection Spells
  • Prevents others from using magic in their affected area (see spellbook)
  • Added Arcane Rift Spells
  • Creates a portal connecting two locations in the same world (see spellbook)
  • Any portal can connect to any other unlinked portal
  • Added Displacement Spells
  • Swaps the caster's location and velocity with that of the entity you're looking at (see spellbook)

Artefacts

  • Added Dragon's Breath Scroll
  • Rename the scroll to the name of the player (or nametagged entity) you want to send to
  • Hold the scroll in your main hand and the item you want to send in your offhand
  • When you right-click the scroll will be consumed the the item is teleported to the intended recipient
  • If the recipient is not online the item will remain in the ether until they are online (up to 24 hours)

Earth Ponies

  • Block destructions are now peristed between saves
  • Fixed incorrect detection of hybrid trees (oak trees are not azalia trees!)
  • Tree types are now made available on the client when joining a server (fixed cases of the tree bucking ability not working)

Pegasi

  • Added polearms
    • Polearms are a melee weapon similar to swords
    • They allow you to reach further than normal and can be used to attack targets whilst flying
    • The amount of extra reach granted depends on the polearm's material

Bat Ponies

  • Nerfed the blindness effect #58
  • The ear ringing sound is much quieter now and has a subtle fade in effect
  • Reduced the effect's duration to only a few seconds
  • Same as before, you can cancel both the ear ringing and blindness effect by going into the shade, or other shelter. After that when you go outside you will not be affected by the sun until you've been in the dark for more than a certain amount of time.

Recipes & Advancements

  • Moved advancements to the correct folder (you may need to earn existing ones again)
  • Certain items from unicopia now function as fuel for the furnace
  • You cna now smelt burned juice into even more burned juice

  • Fixed exception when reloading resources
  • Fix some sizing issues with the trait tooltip renderer
  • Fixed item duplication bugs in the spellbook
  • Fixed multiple sounds playing when crafting items with the spellbook
  • Fixed unable to break the crystal heart after being placed
  • Fixed levels not increasing when experience is full
  • Fixed mana not fully regenerating
  • Fixed mana, experience, and levels not being preserved between saves or respawns
  • Fixed magic projectiles not using their caster's current level
  • Fixed casting a spell of the same type but different traits clearing the existing one
  • Fixed unable to clear the spell you're looking at under certain conditions
  • Fixed cancelling a spell by looking at it not always removing that spell from its owner
  • Fixed broken translation for death.attack.back_hole.attacker
  • Fixed z-fighting on the spellbook's model
  • Fixed item duplication glitch when equipping spells
  • Fixed shields appearing invisible when looking from the inside
  • Fixed rendering glitch that would cause clouds to change colour whenever a placed spell is within frame
  • Fixed raytracing glitch that was preventing certain abilities (like changelings) from functioning correctly
  • Fixed shift-clicking stacks in the spellbook sometimes sending them to the wrong location
  • Fixed mana cost of placed spells not being passed on to their owner
  • Fixed magic runes rendering in front of the player
  • Fixed multiple placed spell entities being spawned when far away
  • Fixed crash when rendering a recipe tree with only one input
  • Fixed extended reach distance not always functioning as it should
