Self Hosting
Here you will find information on how to self-host Locutus bot. Please note that while we will provide as much detail as possible, not all methods are included at this time as they are still in testing.
Self-hosting your own bot can be a rewarding experience that allows you to customize and control the functionality of your server. With Locutus, you can easily set up your own Politics & War bot that will provide valuable information and assist with various tasks.
Whether you are new to self-hosting or an experienced user, our wiki page is designed to provide clear and concise instructions for setting up and configuring Locutus to meet your needs. We will cover everything from installing the necessary dependencies to configuring the bot's settings.

- Download and install Intellij IDEA on your computer.
- Download and install Github desktop on your computer.
- Clone the Locutus Repository from Github using Github desktop.
- Open the Locutus project in Intellij IDEA.
- Build the project using the build tool provided by the project.
- Run the bot to check if it's working properly.
- After running the bot, a config.yaml file will be created. Open it and edit it with your own values.
- Run the bot again after making changes in the config.yaml file.
- Wait for some time to let the bot update all data in the databases.
Note: Some additional steps may be required depending on the specific setup and requirements of your environment.
