Surreal Frontend

Frontend code for the NASA Space Apps 2022 competition. Created by Space Jam.

The challenge: Take Flight: Making the Most of NASA’s Airborne Data

Surreal combines NASA airbourne data with Census Bureau economic data to provide dynamic visualizations in an easy to use mobile interface (housed in a different repository).

Dependencies

  • NodeJS and NPM
  • The Expo mobile app on your mobile device

How to Build and Run the Application

  1. Clone the repository to your local system

  2. Ensure that you have NodeJS and NPM installed on your system. If you would like to view the application on your mobile device it is recommended to install Expo and the expo-cli. Follow the instructions here

  3. Navigate to the project's directory on your local system and run the following command to install all dependencies:

    npm install
    
  4. Finally, in order to run the application, execute the following command:

    npm start
    
  5. Follow the directions in your terminal to get the project setup and working on your mobile device with Expo.
