The audio data for JTD is now available by request for valid research projects only on this Zenodo record. Please provide as much detail as to how you intend to use JTD when making a request.

There are no changes to the database in this release.

Database annotations v0.2

The v0.2 release of the Jazz Trio Database contains onset and beat annotations (.csv), metadata (.json), and MIDI (.mid, currently piano only) for approximately 45 hours of jazz trio recordings.

Each recording has a separate folder, with the name formatted as bandleader-trackname-bandmembers-year-musicbrainzid. Musician names are in the format lastnamefirstnameinitial, e.g. evansb for Bill Evans. The tracks in the JTD-300 subset of the database can be found by checking the in_30_corpus flag of the metadata.json files.

This is the version of the database described in the paper published in Transactions of the International Society of Music Information Retrieval.

This is the initial release of the Cambridge Jazz Trio Database. It contains onset and beat annotations (in .csv format) and metadata (in .json format) for over 16 hours of jazz trio recordings. For more information on how to use these files, see Getting started.
