articles-I-find-useful

Accumulating Tech Debt - It amazes me how many teams operate in terrible tech debt. Usually when I join a new team I advocate strongly for cleaning up code. More often than not, it's a very tough sell and product, stakeholders, and managers never see the value in it.

The 4 layers of SPA - This article provides a great template for architecting Single Page Applications while remaining view layer (framework: react, angular, vue) agnostic.

devhints.io - Not a blog post or article but it is a cheatsheet for literally anything I'd ever need

agile for enterprises - Title is a little misleading in the sense that this is really just a great blog post on agile in general

Understanding SVG Coordinate system - SVGs are hard

Back to Basics: SOLID - Easy to undrstand explaination of SOLID principals

React w TypeScript - Beginner friendly but also fairly deep dive into using typescript with react

First 90 days as CTO or VPE - This post is geared towards CTOs and VPs but most of the content is a great resource for all contributors to an engineering org

Observation on product management At the time adding this to the list, I whole heartily agree with all these points

Good advice on refactoring a monolith

GIST Framework I've never tried this but I'd love to give it a shot. I strongly believe in quick feedback loops and validating assumptions early. I've had most success with lean product development but have found it to be really challenging to get teams to adopt it who have never done it before because it requires so much discipline and is fairly counter intuitive to how we view innovation and product development

Tao of Node - Offers great patterns and disciplines to follow for Node/JS.

Hiring for Additivity - I mostly like this article for its visual charts regarding what roles make for a well balanced team
