refactor codebase to be compatible with some style guidelines. I ran
ruff check --fix scrunchfor the linterblack scrunchfor the formatterI would like to use ruff also for the formatter, but it breaks pyt2 compatibility in one case, the kwargs trailing comma.
Next, I am going to add some pre commit hooks that reflect what I did here
