Here you will find a list of special terminology used in our application domain along with their definitions. In addition you can find a list of useful informational references and links to related or competitive products. Lastly you will find our open source license for the application.
- Ride-sharing App: An application that allows riders to post requests for rides and connect with drivers who can accept their ride requests.
- Boost: The name of this ride-sharing app.
- User: An individual that has created an account to use the application.
- Rider: A user who is trying to get a ride. The rider posts ride requests.
- Driver: A user who is able to drive a rider. The driver accepts ride requests.
- Ride: A vehicular journey from one location to another.
- Request: A request is made by a rider who is in need of a ride.
- Status: The status of a ride, it can either be in progress, canceled, or completed.
- QR-Bucks: The form of currency used between riders and drivers. It is like an IOU but in QR code form.
- Rating: The rating of a driver for his/her service, either a thumbs up (good) or a thumbs down (down).
- Profile: The user profile, displaying information such as name, username, photo, email, phone number and rating of a user.
- Geo-location: The identification or estimation of the real-world geographic location of an object such as mobile phone. [1]
