Unable to add new devices #3636

Goodevening, Not sure where to begin but let me start with: i could really use some help after searching for two weeks without a solution. I have a rp pi 3b with haos installed. I have two zwave.me sticks, one with my network and connected devices and a new one (cause i thought my old one broke down). My old zwave stick won't add new devices, the new one does, so i made a NVM backup of the old one and restored it on to the new one. I hard reset one and after that it can add devices again, but my entire network is lost offcourse. I hope there is someone to whom all this makes sence and has an idea what the cause of this is. This is the only entry in the log i see when i try to include a new device: 2024-03-11T20:01:31.723Z CNTRLR Starting inclusion process with strategy Default... The controller starts to communicate with the node to include it but something goes wrong in that process. Unfortunately there's no way to know what exactly, but this is usually a connectivity issue. You can try power cycling or factory resetting the device, maybe even power cycle the stick. Sometimes that helps. |

Hi @AlCalzone thanks for replying. If tried numerous times power cycling everything, that doesn't change anything. A hard reset of zwave stick solves the problem. That's exactly my point. |

Are there files that i compare to see what is different after a factory reset, in order to solve this? |

You could make an NVM backup after factory reset and after restoring and send me those to take a look. |

As promised Alcazone took a look at my files and it seemed that the old stick had some corrupted information that prevented the controller from working correctly. It works like a charm again! |

I'm still on parental leave for another 3 weeks though, so that may take a while.
