Clicking Search or Brand Logo opens new blank window

Hi, firstly, this is a beautiful theme that makes it easy to read. Thanks very much.

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but when I click on the magnifying glass at the top of the page, it opens a new window/tab; and the search prompt appears on the first tab. Same thing happens when clicking the brand window - it opens a new blank window and the primary tab navigates to the home page.

Is this intentional? Have I misconfigured something? Is anyone else encountering this?

took a minute to set up the environment again. so using it with latest ghost (5.130.2) and no issues on my end. any logs in the console?

On clicking search, the console shows:

thx. is it possible that ur browser prevents cross loading? tried another browser or computer? or can I see it live somewhere?

Same behaviour with Brave browser, but nothing usable on the console.

https://cerebral.voyage/ is my production site which is experiencing this.

ja the log is not really helpful either. so it only happens with Attila and no other theme like the default "source"?

That’s correct. Doesn’t happen with Ghost official themes.

can you check out the latest master. I've rewritten all scripts to vanilla js. not sure if that was affecting something

I've installed the master branch, and the behaviour hasn't changed. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong?
