Horizontal scroll to change workspace #9328
-
I'm used to horizontal scroll (MX Master) over the tabs toolbar to move from one workspace to another (Arc). Is it possible to do the same using Zen? I saw this discussion about the scroll feature #2282 Looks like it is not working for me :( |

Hi @marlonchalegre! I'm Dosu and I’m helping the desktop team. Yes, Zen Browser supports switching workspaces using horizontal scroll on the tabs toolbar, similar to Arc. This is built into the browser and works by default on most platforms and devices see code reference. However, if you're using a Logitech MX Master mouse on macOS, there are known issues when the Logi Options+ software is installed—the horizontal scroll may not trigger workspace switching. A workaround is to open the Logitech software and set the horizontal wheel function to "Switch pages" instead of "horizontal scrolling." This enables workspace switching in Zen, but the experience may be a bit jittery details and workaround. There's also a "natural scroll" preference in Zen that can affect the scroll direction for workspace switching. If you want to tweak this, look for the Recent updates have improved scroll-based workspace navigation, including the ability to scroll on the workspace indicator and icons container for easier switching see PR. Let me know if you need help with specific settings or run into any other issues! To reply, just mention @dosu. How did I do? Looks like an Issue, changing in the 'Logi Options+' to "Switch pages" makes the feature work but you loose the horizontal scroll on pages :D. |
