Loading old userChrome ?

I have a profile which I renamed the userChrome.css file although it's still loading my modifications. Therefore which userChrome file is the recent version of Zen based on the profile loading ?

Zen Browser loads UI customizations from a file named userChrome.css located in the chrome folder inside your profile directory (for example: <profile_dir>/chrome/userChrome.css). If you rename or remove this file and restart the browser, your modifications should stop applying. If they persist, check for another userChrome.css (or a duplicate/symlink) in the same or another profile's chrome folder, as Zen does not use a fallback or cache for this file after restart (source, source). You can find your active profile location via about:profiles (source). If the issue continues after a restart and confirming there are no other copies, it may be worth double-checking the contents of your profile's chrome directory.

I've tried editing the same style but no change is occurring and that is for the userChrome.css in the used profile even after restarting ?

There are a few common reasons why userChrome.css changes might not take effect in Zen Browser, even after a restart:

• Make sure userChrome.css is inside the chrome folder of your active profile (not the root of the profile) reference.
• Zen Browser recently switched to a new backend for loading custom styles. The old toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets preference is no longer used, so you don't need to set it reference.
• The mods backend will not load userChrome.css if Zen is in safe mode or if the zen.themes.disable-all preference is true reference.
• If your CSS targets UI elements that changed in recent Zen versions (for example, after 1.12.6b), your selectors might need updating reference.
• Syntax errors or invalid CSS in userChrome.css can prevent any styles from applying reference.

If you’ve checked all of the above, try replacing your userChrome.css with a minimal rule (like * { background: red !important; }) to see if any change occurs. If not, double-check the file location and permissions. If that works, your original CSS may need updating for recent Zen UI changes.

What if there are instances of Zen with different profiles and I change the userChrome.css for one particular profile apply it but upon restarting Zen that profile is not applied. Is it because is it an instances ?

Within my Profiles\1etfds21.Default Profile\chrome\userChrome.css

I have this rule within but when restarting Zen; that rule doesn't change the browser appearance ?
