How to get start_suspended message hint after command termination?

There is this message when I provide start_suspended=true to a pane in a layout:

This message does not appear again when the command exits. It seems to just assume that the user knows the sate and what to do. I would say it looks a bit inconsistent and I have seen similar programs provide similar messages again after command termination, but let's instead ask the question: Is there something to configure to achieve this behavior, to display the message again? Have I overlooked something?
