How to visualize the feature map

Hi, thanks for your excellent work!!
I have a question about how do you visualize the feature map(before VLAD aggregation)? Is it done by simply adding the channels? Then get a 30x40 heatmap

I visualized the feature map by max-pooling among the channels, yield a 30x40 heatmap. But I found it seems not the optimal way. I would recommend visualizing the cluster residuals after the VLAD layer.
