From where has the ball been thrown?

How can I know at which quarter was the ball released from?

1. I can't know before release of the ball.
2. I also can't know after the ball has gone past the origin point (Xi, Yi)

oh, if ( ! thrown && ball.getActionDown()) -> the we CAN know the quarter BEFORE RELEASE of the ball

I'm a genius.

Oh wait, when I shoot downwards the ball's gravity seems reversed (going up instead of down)

so when the ball is shot down, I'll reverse the gravity and if it isn't I'll make it normal.

ok so that works.
