asciimatics for TUI (Terminal User Interface) – the right choice?

Cardio currently uses https://github.com/peterbrittain/asciimatics, which is a great, great library. It has the benefit of supporting all kinds of terminals on all kinds of platforms such as Windows and Linux.

But it also has its issues:

• Fix emoji issue #3
• Make sure TUI works on Linux / WSL #24
• Check out performance of animations #25

Can the issues be fixed?
