Hi
I am using version 4.2.1 and would like to create large images. However, when I try this using the menu option File->Render, I am limited to 4096x4096 (larger values produce no output).
When I try running the command -render, I can get to about 13000x10000 before getting the 'cannot create checking buffer' error. I am running Windows 11 on a 64-bit laptop with 16GB RAM.
I have seen a comment in Wikibooks suggesting that it should be possible to render a 18000x12000 image. There is also mention of running Render Animation but I don't see this as a menu option - probably refers to an earlier version?.
Is there something else I need to do?
Apart from this issue, I like Xaos a lot - well done!. :-)
Regards
Pat
