Spawned window gets closed after a second

I was making a Sand Simulation and i wanted a separate screen for selecting the block to place, then i created the window, but when i run the project, the window just closes in fractions of a second or even a second. So, what do i do and how can i fix this?

Can you show some of the code? Are you spawning a separate window via Process.spawn, or doing something else? What is the OS platform that you're using?

I've just pushed a commit with a proper fix. If you're building from source then you can just pull and the issue should be fixed; if you use precompiled binaries then I suggest using the workaround :-)

I've closed #97 and filed #98 since this is probably affecting other wrapper APIs.

Just a question, but what i can do to keep a reference? because it is weird to use .toString() in the selector window. i even tried to add an event listener before creating this issue.

Any object that has an event listener should be retained by native indeed, and that's what the fix did; but you'll need a workaround until you use a binary that includes that fix.

Any kind of reference should work. You can also just attach a reference to it to the global object or to the window object:

window.retainedSelector = selector;
globalThis.retainedSelector = selector;
