Suggestion: allow separate joining punctuation and final punctuation

I personally enjoy using the following:

Please get:

*   Milk;
*   Eggs;
*   Coffee.

In short: a full stop at the end, and semi-colons inside, as that works well for lists which stem from natural language (for example, one could write the above example sentence in plain text using Please get milk, eggs, and coffee.).
