You need not use wdio-chromedriver-service with wdio v8. WebdriverIO 8 automatically downloads chrome when a test execution is started. |

Hi
I am trying to setup Webdriver IO in my machine.
My chrome browser version:121.0.6167.185
Below is the browser-related information mentioned in wdio.config.js
export const config = {
services: [['chromedriver',{
logFileName: 'wdio-chromedriver.log', // default
outputDir: 'driver-logs', // overwrites the config.outputDir
args: ['--silent'],
chromedriverCustomPath:['C:\path\to\Driver\chromedriver_win32\chromedriver.exe']
}]
Package.json:
{
"name": "Feb20-1PM",
"type": "module",
"devDependencies": {
"@wdio/cli": "^8.32.2",
"@wdio/cucumber-framework": "^8.32.2",
"@wdio/local-runner": "^8.32.2",
"@wdio/spec-reporter": "^8.32.2"
},
"scripts": {
"wdio": "wdio run ./wdio.conf.js"
},
"dependencies": {
"wdio-chromedriver-service": "^8.1.1"
}
}
Below is the error I am getting
