serious question since in all my 20 years of web development, never have i ever only ever needed to version pin one technology.
often you come across a problem and you want to pick the best tool for the job, but for reliability you want to ensure the team uses the same version of that thing.
so because you're using nvm, you now can not pick the best tool for the job and instead you have to find a nodejs equivilant.
I had this problem when doing php, when doing python and it's a disease that is pervasive in the nodejs community too.
I'm always surprised when I see very popular projects that still suggest you should use nvm.
