Description

After phase 1 of the Gitlab transition is done, we should have a better idea of how to complete the migration and we want to discuss this with the group. Some steps (this list is probably not exhaustive)

  • Adding more users into Gitlab and having them use Gitlab actively
  • CD pipelines (so we can release to cloud.gov environments)
  • Migrate Github issues one last time
  • Turn on push mirroring
  • Add the rest of Github Actions
  • Disable Github Actions
  • Remove Github users and roles to minimize accidental usage of Github (we still want key stakeholders to keep Github admin access, though)
  • Document and prioritize further Gitlab features we can use (such as a container registry)
  • Figure out what to do with Github issues (we can turn them off completely via Github repository settings)

Acceptance criteria

  • Gitlab issues (!) for the rest of the Gitlab phase 2 transition
