Well, you can simply create a shortcut (using Shortcuts and betterdisplay's CLI) to set the brightness to a fixed level. With default settings (using combined brightness) the 100% brightness is always at the 10th OSD chiclet (the 16 chiclet matches the max 160%). However with native XDR upscaling enabled (which is preferred to combined brightness and might be the default in future versions) by nature there is one single scale (even more than before). |

I love that BetterDisplay opens up the option to have my MacBook monitor go brighter than with the native brightness levels.
Would it be possible to have some kind of “Lock” at the intersection between the native and extended brightness range?
I see the icon, but that is sometimes difficult to catch.
I am thinking of something like:
Another idea would be to have a modifier key to go into the extended brightness range. Like:
To go down, I would think it would either be an option to keep that working as usual always… or to also make it similar to the above idea to stop at the intersection of extended / native.
Cheers,
Chris
