After restarting, all the files in /var/mail seem to get chowned to postfix?

This results in:
cannot update mailbox /var/mail/root for user root. destination /var/mail/root is not owned by recipient

Hi, can you give some more details about your setup? on error message it sounds a bit like your using postfix to deliver mail to user inboxes etc? if so maybe some more generic (not relay) postfix docker image is more suitable?

The chmod postfix https://github.com/wader/postfix-relay/blob/master/run#L54 has been there since the first commit but i have no memory of why it was needed, but i can guess volumes etc messes up owner or permissions somehow
