How to add JSDoc to web components.

The area I am struggling with when it comes to TS / JSDoc at the moment is web components.

I've been using the http://github.com/optoolco/tonic project and I don't really have a concrete strategy yet to add type safety to it.

I've found the following helps along the way

import * as AppTree from "./views/tree/index"

declare global {
  interface HTMLElementTagNameMap {
    "app-tree": AppTree;
  }
}

This allows for document.querySelector('app-tree') to understand it's my web component that's returned.
