No DHCP request from VM during build process #165
-
My build now stops at Looking at the VM console, I find that the "waiting for cloud-init" timed out, and the regular subiquity install continued. If I use that to move to the network configuration, it looks like there is no active network. The interface is there, and the default for subiquity is DHCP, but despite having a working DHCP server on that VLAN, nothing gets requested (the DHCP server log shows no incoming request). The VLAN for the VM is correct (i.e. same as the DHCP server interface) and is shown in vSphere as Connected. From another host on the same network, I can wget http://:/user-data and I get the expected user-data. Does this build system default to DHCP on the default interface? I don't see anything about the network specified anywhere, and I can't think of anything else to check. Should I try a different setting for vm_network_card? |

Never mind. I got tripped up by our unnecessarily complex vSphere environment. :-( |
