How can we bypass a url in vite proxy?

Using vue-cli I have proxy settings something like this

proxyTable: {
  '/baseUrl': {
    target: 'http://to/some/server,
    changeOrigin: true,
    bypass: function(req, res, proxyOptions) {
        if (urlWhitelist.includes(req.originalUrl)) {
            return joinurl(assetsPath, "index.html");
        }
    },
  } 

So I m sending request to a target for all requests excepts few whitelisted urls. Now using vite proxy (which is using node-http-proxy) I did't find any way to bypass a url. What would be the equivalent of above code using vite proxy?

bypass can be used as it is, although its not documented anywhere!
