When I open a new tab on Edge, the normal favicon doesn't show up, and instead there is a white square. Just to make sure this was happening consistently, I tried to replicate the issue on another device, and it still happened.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create new tab using Bonjourr in Microsoft edge

I thought I would do some more digging, and I learnt that the issue was the favicon source not being found.

Here are my browser specifications

  • OS: Windows 11 Home
  • Browser: Microsoft Edge
  • Version 135.0.3179.66

Thank you in advance for whoever fixes this.

I just figured out the problem. I originally installed Bonjourr from the Chrome Web Store on Microsoft Edge, so it was probably missing certain files that were supposed to be there for the Edge version of the extension. I uninstalled my existing installation of Bonjourr and installed the one from the Edge Addons store, and the favicon works fine now.

Nice find @ShrekCoding21, indeed the Chrome version does not include the monochrome favicon in its package.

I'll reopen the issue to remind me about it, it's an easy fix !
