Wrongly send request with "https" protocol from "http" server

Summary

My institution uses a test server that has no SSL certificate so having to access it through http. It is just for internal testing. Next.js application always runs on it well until yesterday.

I rebuilt and deployed next.js application on it yesterday. As I tried to access the website, there are errors "GET https://hostname/__next/xxxxx net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED". Also, clicking links on homepage(only text and links are shown) will also redirect to "https://hostname/xxxxx" . It looks like next.js sends all requests with rewriting to https protocol in a http server. I did not make any change to the code before rebuilding and deploying.

It should be due to next.js because all other react applications running on this http server are working. Any advice and help would be appreciated.
