VeraCrypt still uses old xpm desktop icons and distributes them in the official deb/rpm packages. This format was deprecated for a long time now and its support was finally disabled in GNOME last year. While some distributions (e.g. Debian and Ubuntu) decided to re-enable the support for now, majority of other distributions (including Fedora, Arch and others) followed the upstream approach and kept the xpm support removed. Because of this, VeraCrypt no longer has any icon displayed on such distributions with GNOME.

Please, consider converting the xpm desktop icon(s) to png or svg.

That's wrong. Running GNOME 47 on Arch the corresponding icon is perfectly visible here.

It is possible that it got re-enabled in Arch, but it certainly did not get re-enabled in Fedora. :)

And even if it was, xpm icons were already deprecated 10 years ago and should not be used anymore.

Yes. Fedora no longer displays VeraCrypt icon for past couple of months.
