This is a known issue in Clang as it does not emit string debug information by default - llvm devs don't intend to add them, you can add this flag to your compiler -fno-limit-debug-info as a workaround
If you're using CMake as a generator, add the following:

if ("${CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER_ID}" STREQUAL "Clang" AND ${CMAKE_BUILD_TYPE} MATCHES Debug)
    add_compile_options("-fno-limit-debug-info")
endif()

NOTE: This solution however will increase the executable binary size - hence its bounded by the clang/debug config, there are solutions online mentioning about adding -D_GLIBCXX_DEBUG, I'd recommend not to use it as it will compile libstdc++ in debug mode, the worst downside is your debug runtime will slow to a crawl.

BTW I searched both in clang++ command line tool --help output and official document, and threre is no option called -fno-limit-debug-info.

Apparently its an alias hence information online is rare, here is a link that explains a little bit more:

@vadimcn @Jason7158 , I've just managed to test out on a Windows VM, looks like LLVM works differently on Windows, it requires MSVC (I installed the minimal VS Build Tools but shouldn't be the issue) and apparently whether we use any of the compile options -fno-limit-debug-info, -fstandalone-debug or -g, there will still be string parsing error.

I'm not sure if its a Clang issue or CodeLLDB issue, or maybe libstdc++ works differently on Windows...
