I'm using a VM with Apple Virtualization in which I installed Debian with XFCE as desktop environment by using the network installer debian-12.9.0-arm64-netinst.iso. The VM starts and works until pausing/suspending, which also works, but after resuming the VM the mouse cursor is not shown anymore inside the VM screen.
The mouse is still present and GUI elements in the VM can be interacted with, but the cursor disappears as soon as it enters the VM screen and reappears when it leaves it.
As workaround, the mouse cursors reappears if triggering the XFCE logout menu. After the logout menu is shown the mouse cursor reappears and from that point it works until the next resume, so by cancelling the logout the VM can then be used normally.
Configuration
UTM Version: 4.6.4 (107)
macOS Version: 15.3 (24D60)
Mac Chip M1
Debug log
I'm not sure how to provide a log for VMs using Apple Virtualization.
