** NOTE: nshmp-haz represents a new USGS earthquake hazards codebase. It is currently under review and does NOT represent an official release or product. For official release products please see the USGS Earthquake Hazards website. **
nshmp-haz is a Java library developed by the United States Geological Survey Earthquake Hazards Program ([USGS EHP] (http://earthquake.usgs.gov)) to conduct seismic hazard analyses (SHA) in support of the National Seismic Hazard Mapping Program (NSHMP). The primary goals of the library are:
- to enable high performance seismic hazard calculations required to generate detailed maps over large areas and
- to support a variety of USGS web applications related to seismic hazards research and the dissemination of hazard data.
