I installed the game on ubuntu, and soon it crashes with the message:
Aborted (core dumped)

What version of uh? Have you tested it with last git version?

2017.2? That version is "not supported" anymore but we don't have yet released an new one sorry

when building from source,
`
cmake -DPYTHON_EXECUTABLE=/usr/bin/python3 -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX:PATH=/usr -Dcegui=OFF ../fifengine

You are using SWIG v3.0.8.

                       This version doesn't work with fifengine.

                       Please upgrade SWIG.

@jay20162016 which version of Ubuntu are you using? Regardless, notice the swig warning. Either upgrade Ubuntu to a more recent release or use a PPA to get a more recent version of swig.

Update swig to min Version 3.0.9 you can use it from an other ubuntu version.
