menu click fail #29
Comments
@gitumor - I can't reproduce this. I can click on any menu entry just fine. Is there a specific app that you were trying to open from the menu? Also, if you hover the mouse over a menu entry, does it get highlighted? |
Hovering does highlight the item. Clicking the item shows a highlight
effect. After clicking the item's text disappears.
Moving around with the arrow keys and pressing Enter sometimes launches an
item.
Maybe one in ten clicks might open an item in the Places section. Might
even very rarely get an item to open from the Applications section. Seemed
to only be if it were specific to Mate, like maybe the Mate Terminal or
something. But 99% of the time the clicks do nothing.

That's certainly strange... I'm looking at the package in the SUSE repo and at first glance there's no differences that I can detect. I'll have to take a deeper look at it to see if something sticks out. |
This issues is still alive and well with a new clean install of OpenSUSE Leap 42.3 on 2018-02-10 and it occurs on two different computers, with totally different hardware. The only common thing both computers share is, they do not have a dedicated video card. |
@jtlpa - what version of mate-menu does Leap 42.3 use? Have you tried
any of the latest releases, 19.04 or 19.10, to see if it's fixed for you
there? How about on other distros?
|
