Most of the FE teams seems to have version hardcoded to '1.0.0' in the datadog configuration. I came across this snippet where Paste team reads the version from package.json I was wondering if the version is manually updated in package.json before deployments or is it somehow automated. Would like to learn more about process involved! |

Hi @AleenaSA No, it's all automated. Here we're tracking the site with each version of paste core so that we can see if any version impacts anything significant to the site performance. Because the system is built in the same repo as the site, as we release a version of paste we automatically tag the site metrics with that new version the website is being built from.
