Can item be added to array in this example?

Noob question: in this toml file, I can define another toml file that will be merged with this file and have higher precedence. I only want to change:

[filetype]

rules = [
# ...
{ name = "*/", fg = "#7aa2f7" }  # Blue
# ...
]

to:

[filetype]

rules = [
# ...
{ name = "*/", fg = "#7aa2f7", bold = true }  # Blue, bold
# ...
]

What's the most appropriate way to go away this, or do I need to re-define the entire rules? I would like the toml file to only contain what's changed from the original file as much as possible to know that everything else is the same just from glancing at it.
