"confirm session removal" doesn't trigger when clicking Restore

I don't wish to delete sessions when I restore them. I've ticked "confirm session removal", the description of which certainly implies that, when "removing a session via the sidebar", you will be prompted to confirm the action.

However, clicking "Restore" has the effect of removing the session via the sidebar, and I am not prompted, despite the above setting.

More generally (and perhaps less usefully), I'm at my wits end trying to configure Tabs Aside to not lose my data in the various different ways I can interact with it.
