Disregard - A little more reading and less question asking was in order - I see the issue and the intended fixes- thanks again!
First - thanks so much for this effort - so appreciated.
I have a Reolink Track Mix battery cam and recently installed Neolink on a Raspberry Pi in order to get the video feed from this cam into Blue Iris (eventually). For now, I'm just pulling the RTSP stream through VLC on demand. The cam has only been installed for 5 days or so and is solar powered with a battery. For the first 4 days the camera rarely had less than 100% battery. Last night I left Neolink running on the pi, but there were no viewers all night as I am the only one that has access. This morning the camera was offline. I shut down Neolink and in a few hours the camera re-appeared after sufficient solar to recharge the battery to a working state. I was under the impression that Neolink was "dormant" until an RTSP stream was asked for. This does not appear to be the case here. It appears that Neolink was polling the camera all night and depleted the battery. Am I understanding the situation correctly? Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone have an idea for a fix?
Again many thanks for this effort - awesome idea and implementation-
