Hi, I’m Vandana, an Integrated M.Sc. Chemistry student at NIT Rourkela.

I’m interested in contributing to AtomDB and preparing for a GSoC 2026 proposal related to the database refactor project. I’d like to work on this documentation issue to better understand how custom datasets are added and structured in AtomDB.

Please let me know if I can take this up, or if there’s any specific direction you’d like me to follow.

Hi @vandanaallu, I'm not sure if we will be chosen for GSoC-2026 or if we'll choose an AtomDB project for the program again, but we always welcome contributions. Just keep in mind that QC-Devs tends to have some "seasonality" to its development activity, so support for AtomDB can be slower at certain times of the year. I'm not sure what the status of the last pull request was, but we can probably get some insight into it.
