Problem description

I'm using Termux often on an external display via Androids desktop-mode. In desktop-mode the header bar obscures the first ~4 lines of the Terminal.

Steps to reproduce the behavior.

  1. Enable desktop-mode (can be enabled in developer options on Android 14 and currently comes by default on Android 15)
  2. Connect an external display via USB-C
  3. Enable Display Output on Android
  4. Run Termux

What is the expected behavior?

Termux renders the Terminal below the header bar. See the official guide for adding desktop support and especially the section Customizable header insets.

System information

  • Termux application version: 0.118.1 (latest from F-Droid)
  • Android OS version: Android 14 (GrapheneOS)
  • Device model: Google Pixel 8a

This issue is similar to #3908, but for the upcoming vanilla desktop-mode instead of Samsung Dex.
