Apple Infrared Remote Daemon with Keyboard Arrow Event Extension

This is the extended (forked) version of irmoted. It sends keyboard arrow events left/right/up/down to the system when the left/right/up/down buttons on the Apple Remote are pressed. This can be used to control PDF (Latex) based presentations shown in the Preview.app (or others). To use this feature you have to start the program with commandline option "-a".

Getting started

Compile iremoted like so:

$ gcc -Wall -o iremoted iremoted.c -framework IOKit -framework Carbon

Usage

$ ./iremoted -a

TODO

  • Disable volume controls when pressing up/down
