Get single serialized annotation

Hi Staphan,

I noticed that the getSerializedAnnotations() method returns the information for all annotations using the structured format (for example, a HighlightEditorAnnotation for highlights).

Is there a way to get the same serialized data but for a single annotation?

I’m using the onAnnotationEditorEvent($event) event and would like to obtain the same data structure for only the annotation that was just added, edited, or removed.

Good question. Let's me think about it. It might be difficult: currently, there's no way to tell one annotation from the other. There's no identifier.

I noticed objects returned by getSerializedAnnotations() have id: null. Would it be possible to set a stable id there and expose the same id on onAnnotationEditorEvent, so I can look up the exact annotation in the serialized list?

That might be part of the next pdf.js version. At the moment, ngx-extended-pdf-viewer is one version behind pdf.js. I've talked to one of the pdf.js developers, and he was thinking about adding ids to the annotations. It's possible you're seeing an unfinished implementation.
