Hi, I'm Mehrdad -- a PhD researcher at Chalmers University of Technology, working on mechanistic interpretability and controllability of large language models.

Alongside my research, I build open-source tools for Persian NLP: ParsBERT, a transformer-based model for Persian language understanding, and Soxan, a Wav2Vec toolkit for speech recognition and classification. These projects are used by researchers, students, and companies working with a language that's historically underserved in NLP tooling.
