The Etherpad Foundation funds and maintains the popular collaborative editing software "Etherpad". Our goal is to promote web-based real time collaboration.

Etherpad is developer friendly yet mature, it is an accessible project for new developers so has a large community of contributors and users.

Etherpad can be extended to provide various additional functionality through an extensive plugin framework. The Etherpad Foundation maintains some of these plugins.
