I'm a software developer and accessibility advocate, and I created Switchify, an open-source Android app designed to empower people with physical disabilities by giving them greater control over their devices through adaptive switches. As a switch user myself, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to navigate technology that isn’t optimized for physical accessibility. Switchify was developed to address these challenges and provide users with a flexible, user-centered solution that adapts to their individual needs.

Switchify allows users to:

• Customize Switch Actions – Assign specific actions to short and long presses, so users can tailor navigation to their needs.
• Use Gesture Lock – Temporarily assign gestures like scrolling and swiping to the switch for smooth, continuous navigation.
• Type Faster with Advanced Word Prediction – Includes a keyboard with predictive text to streamline communication and speed up typing.
• Enjoy Multi-Switch Support – Compatible with various adaptive switch types to ensure versatility for different users.

The goal with Switchify is to provide independence, usability, and adaptability in a mobile environment, offering features that go beyond standard switch access solutions. By making Switchify open-source, I hope to build a collaborative community around the project, inviting developers, accessibility advocates, and users to contribute, share feedback, and help shape its future.
