I'm working on pocketpy - a lightweight(~15K LOC) Python interpreter for game scripting, built on C++17 with STL.

For a long period of time, lua is popular in the field of game scripting. Nevertheless, many people want to use python because of its elegant syntax and powerful features. pocketpy aims to be an alternative to lua. It is extremely easy to embed via a single header file pocketpy.h, without external dependencies.
