I have cageseq data from human postmortem brains and I want to remove rRNA sequences from that. I am using smr_v4.3_default_db.fasta as a reference from your new database file "https://github.com/sortmerna/sortmerna/releases/tag/v4.2.0"
Is this okay? I do not have to grep human rRNA sequences from this file? what about other species sequences? they won't interfere with alignment?
